It all started when i want to prepare myself for my Jerry first meal. According to the literature i read, in 2009-2010 baby start their meal when they are 6 months old. I browse from the internet, and found this special mailing list "mpasirumahan.yahoogroups", i joined when Jerry was 4 months old, and gather all the necessary information from this mailing list.
Wow.. I suddenly soo excited for my baby's first bite.. so challenging, i thought, and fun, and full of artwork.
I am very eager to watch his first moments.. This is the first step of my new favorite activity.. cooking baby food.. xixixi.. it's really started with simple and very-very easy cooking, just steaming and straining. :)
Watching Jerry ate.. was a big excitement.. he ate everything, he likes vegetables, fruits, meat, protein, dairy products.. anything.. u name it. Of course, I'm giving him the foods according to the rule (mpasirumahan and http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/) to prevent food intolerance and food allergy. Plus, avoiding sugar and salt up to he's 14 months.

my son is my inspiration and thanks to him, i found and dig out my new interest. Just for a simple motivation, I want to give him a healthy meal and snack, suddenly I started to cook and bake.. and the result, is not bad at all.. not saying delicious though(or yet..)
back to the contest, i have no target at all.. aaaand.. to my surprise, this is the result:

Then, in July, I re-enter the contest, and I won... yippiee.. only the third place, but.. this is against 60 recipes from all over Indonesia, and i got the chance to wok with Bara.. xixixi.. amazing experience..

BUNGA SALMON U-PEL *upel: ubi apel Bahan kelopak bunga dan tangkai: 1 buah ubi ungu ukuran sedang, cuci, kukus, kupas, lumatkan/haluskan, sisihkan 1 buah apel malang ukuran sedang, cuci, kupas, kukus, lumatkan/haluskan, sisihkan 2 batang buncis, kukus, sisihkan Bahan putik bunga: 30 gr ikan salmon (bisa diganti tuna, atau ikan lainnya) 1 siung bawang putih, dikeprek 1 siung bawang merah, cincang kasar 1 lembar daun salam 1 ruas jahe, dikeprek 1 tangkai daun bawang, cincang kasar 2 helai seledri, cincang halus (untuk taburan) Cara memasak : * bahan putik bunga : - kukus selama 15 menit ikan salmon bersama semua bumbu, kecuali seledri. - angkat/ambil ikan salmon (bumbu lain tidak dipakai), tempatkan di tengah-tengah piring datar, taburi dengan seledri cincang * bahan kelopak bunga : - campurkan ubi dan apel yang telah dihaluskan dalam 1 wadah - gunakan sendok makan/es krim untuk membentuk kelopak bunga, susun memutari ikan salmon. - susun buncis untuk membentuk tangkainya hmm.. rasanya asem-manis-gurih-kres2 coba lagi aah, masukin resep.. ini resep iseng-iseng, karena stock ubi yang masih banyak di kulkas. Ternyata, kombinasi apel dan ubi bisa meningkatkan selera makan Jerry, anakku yang berusia 13 bulan sekarang. Kalau si ubi single fighter, dia kurang berminat, mungkin karena serat2nya agak berasa di mulutnya. Dicampur si apel, selain ada asem2, juga membuat teksturnya lebih lembut. Yang duluan habis, si buncis, diambil oleh tangannya pas mamanya meleng (mengatur sang fotografer), diemut2 dan digigit dengan semangat..sisanya dilahap dalam waktu 7 menit.. terima kasih, Rini and my little angel; Jerry (13bulan) |
